Grease: A Chips Zine
GREASE maps the life of Bangkok-born, Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist Seine Kongruangkit through the lens of chips: a snack that feels like home, no matter where in the world they find themselves. Whether salty, sweet, or (more than a little) spicy, these short essays share fragments of Seine’s experiences from 2019 to the present: falling in and out of love with people, places, jobs, hobbies, and ways of being, across five cities and countless snack aisles. It’s best enjoyed with a bag of chips in hand.
Inside, you’ll find Seine’s reflections on:
- Moving to New York City
- A farewell letter to Florida
- Thailand tourism scams
- Finding freedom in acting classes (even as a non-theater kid)
- Exploring non-monogamy
- Lesbian yearning (duh)
& more
Plus, snack breaks featuring:
- Astrological chip pairings
- A Dutch chip dip recipe
- Chip recs from friends around the world
